Ft. Hays State University features a dedicated Military and Family Friendly Committee to oversee programs for student veterans and active-duty military on campus. The university offers a number of financial aid programs, including federally sponsored programs like the Yellow Ribbon Program, GI Bills, Survivors and Dependents Educational Assistance Program and Veterans Education Assistance Program, as well as the Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship and Vocational Rehabilitation. In addition, Ft. Hays supports development and employment assistance for spouses of veterans through its Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts Program.
The university features a convenient online class schedule/financial aid form specifically for student veterans.
