Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton has issued a new noise advisory Monday for the neighborhoods surrounding the base due to training exercise.

The base is warning residents that the sound of the explosions may be amplified and heard up to 50 miles away, depending on the atmospheric conditions.

The training will involve late night and early morning firing on the Whisky and Zulu impact areas, on the Northern part of the base, beginning 6 a.m. Tuesday.

Residents living in the areas surrounding Camp Pendleton may experience different levels of wall shaking and loud noise but there is no need to freak out.

Noise levels may increase in the area as artillery units conduct live-fire training exercises Nov. 18-21.
