Veterans are the backbone of our nation. “America the Beautiful,” an appreciation and memorial ceremony honoring their services and sacrifices will be hosted by VITAS Healthcare on Saturday, November 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Veterans Museum – Balboa Park, 2115 Park Blvd., San Diego, CA 92101.
As the nation’s leading provider of end-of-life care, VITAS invites the San Diego community to join them at this commemorative event in anticipation of Veterans Day. The ceremony will honor the brave men and women who have served the nation with a moment of silence, a remembrance wreath and a presentation of the colors performed by military personnel. Patriotic harp music will play throughout the ceremony and a talented VITAS volunteer will sing The Star-Spangled Banner.
“At VITAS we believe that every day is Veterans Day,” said VITAS Bereavement Services Manager Dr. Ben Janzen. “We take pride in our veterans program and actively recognize veteran’s sacrifices to our nation and provide them with the support they need at the end of life.”
